Policy

For members of Academic Computer Club (ACC) the following rules apply.

• The following type of information may not be made publicly availabe:
  • Material that doesn't oblige the Swedish laws, or the rules of SuNet.
  • Material that can damage the association's public relations or relations to these authorities and institutions.
• It is the board's obligation to judge what information may damage the association's public relations and take suitable actions.

There are also some rules you have to accept to become a member of ACC.

• Your account is personal and may not be used by any other person.
• It obliges the user to take part of and comply with the current rules and conventions for computer and net usage, for an example read Netiquette.
• It obliges to the user to comply with the copyright act.
• All commercial use is prohibited.
• The staff of the association has the right to examine the contents of the material a user has saved on the associations equipment, if they suspect activity that conflicts with the associations rules.

• Usage of the computer facilities may not inflict on other persons integrity. Any information that may be considered offending may not be made publicly available, using the World Wide Web (WWW) or otherwise.
• You are in a public area:
  Remember that there are humans out there in cyberspace, and someone may have their eyes on you without your knowledge. So consider anything you say to be saved forever.
• The information you make available through the network can be reached by millions of users. Many who have different backgrounds and valuations than you are used to. Therefore you should be modest in your image, do your best to avoid irony and think about the way your language can be missunderstood. Parts which are easily understood spooken often get misinterpreted in typing.
• Don't spread private conversation without permission from the original author.
• Always act in your own name.
• Behave in a way that doesn't bring shame on our university or association.
